One of FASA’s community service projects this year included knitting nests for babies at the Wildlife Rescue. Mary O’Hara, Director of Development, and Ashley Kees, Hospital Coordinator at the Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation, sent their appreciation to all the FASA members who participated in this event. They also sent these adorable photos showing just how much the babies appreciated their nests. Caryl Gaubatz, Gay Burgess, Silvia Sarinana, and Vesna Zrinski were among the FASA members who contributed their time and yarn to make these comfy little retreats.
Wilson County artist Rebecca Lilly Segura received second place for her quilt, “Abby,” out of 107 pieces from 52 artists, during an opening reception on December 2, 2016.
