NOVEMBER 2014 FOOD PANTRY
As you go to the grocery store, past the piles of plump orange pumpkins and cheery chrysanthemums, these are some items still welcome at the Food Pantry of AHCC, where we hold our monthly meetings:
- Canned sweet potatoes, 22 oz.
- Packages marshmallows
- Cans crushed pineapples
- Cans evaporated milk
- One-lb. cans ham (not chopped)
The basics are always welcome (see the attached list). Please leave non-perishable foods, hygiene items, etc. outside Room 12.
If you prefer, you may give cash or checks (made out to “AHCC” with “Food Pantry” written in the memo line, in the envelope on the sign-in table, and please sign in as a donor to the Food Bank.
November 10, 2014 – Barbara Schneider, our juror for the Annual Exhibition, will present a slide program lecture entitled, My Wabi-Sabi World. It covers the concept of wabi sabi with examples from photos that Barbara has taken, and then explores how that concept has impacted the development of her various art series. [Read more…]

The Yellow Brick Road was hand woven using 4500 plastic wrappers from newspapers. These plastic wrappers were given to me by a multitude of people in the community, my weaving made possible by the kindness of those who follow their own brick roads of daily events. [Read more…]
