With the turn of a new year, we can look forward to new and exciting possibilities and opportunities. FASA is facing forward and planning new events. March is one month full of opportunities and now is the time to get into full gear.
First. We have several openings for vendors at the Garden Party. The booth cost is only $50 and your sales are 100% yours. The hours are short and sweet and you will be able to view the event. Contact J’cil (210-818-2603) or Caryl for an application. The deadline is January 13th.
Second. Ticket sales will begin at our January meeting. A ticket is only $35 (CASH or CHECK) or get with your friends and buy a table for $350. There are only 15 tables so space is limited. It will be a fun afternoon of sweets, over-the-top fashion, and our speaker Anthony Ryan. Anthony was the second season of Lifetime’s Project Runway All Stars winner amount other titles and now lives here.
Third. The real core of the event is our raffle. We will reveal all of the new exciting items and experiences that make up our raffle items for this event. Tickets will be on sale at this meeting and at other times leading up to and including the day of the event.
FASA is fortunate in that we are doing fine financially, so this is our opportunity to help others. Whether you come to the event or not, buying a few tickets will help other organizations in their mission to teach. Who knows you may win one of the fun fabulous prizes. All of these items/experiences were donated to FASA so we could continue our mission.
So let us all start this new decade, year, and month in the spirit of love, giving, and kindness. May you carry this in all that you do.

Greetings to Artists and Surface Designers in the area — Happy new Year!
The Fiber Artists of San Antonio are hosting their annual Fashion Fundraiser at the San Antonio Garden Center on Saturday 14 March 2020 from 1300-1600 hours (1-4 PM).
The format for 2020 is excitingly new and different and we invite you to be part of it.
I’m writing to see if you have any interest in participating in the vendor area at our Fashion Fundraiser 2020.
- 15 vendor booths are available. Each booth area is 6 x 6′.
- Cost of each vendor booth= $50.00
- Deadline for submission of application form and check is 13 January.
- There are still booth spaces available.
The vendor area will be in the side room where the Board usually meets. The tea party buffet and tables will be located in the main ballroom.
There will be 15 tables of ten for the fashion event
Anthony Ryan Auld, a Project Runway All Star will be guest speaker. Our format is different this year.
Frankie Boone is the caterer. Tickets are ONLY $35.00 !! Seating is limited to 150.
There will be only 15 juried fashions, and they are OVER THE TOP!
There will be no competition between vendors and “runway” garments, as in the past.
There has been a lot of interest in tickets so far and many of those interested are not FASA members –
Ergo, a wider audience from the general public and a way to introduce your work to new clients.
I have attached a vendor application for your convenience.
Vendors will be provided with snacks but are encouraged to bring their own lunch and beverage.
The good news is that you will not need to purchase a $35.00 ticket to see the program.
Vendors may cover their booths and stand at the back or near the wall in the ball room to watch the show.
You would only need to buy a $35.00 ticket if you wanted a seat at one of the 15 tables in the ballroom and access to the tea party food.
