FABULOUS FASHIONISTA FACTOIDS

FASA’s Fashion-themed Fundraiser will take place on Saturday 14 March 2020 from 1300-1600 at the San Antonio Garden Center. Our goal is to raise money for our scholarship/education fund and to HAVE FUN doing so. The deadline for reserving booth space is 13 January 2020.

FACTOID # 1

There will be 15 vendor booths. Booths are 6′ x 6 ‘ and cost $50.00 each . Focused shopping time will be from 1300-1400. Doors open to main ballroom at 1400. There is no limit to how many persons can share a booth. FUN FACT- if you are accustomed to selling your garments at the traditional FASA runway show, here is your opportunity. Partner up with your sewing buddies and display your designs in the Vendor area.

FACTOID # 2

Tickets to the event are only $35.00 each and include a delicious tea time buffet prepared by Frankie Boone Catering (NO RUBBER CHICKEN allowed). At this modest price, you will have extra cash to scoop up more raffle tickets.  Event tickets will go on sale at the January meeting. Cash or check only. Checks are payable to FASA. There will be 15 tables of 10 persons each. There will be open seating with 2 payment options. You may either buy a single ticket for $35.00 OR you may reserve a whole table for $350.00. If you can gather up 10 friends who wish to sit together, you may collect 10 checks for $35.00 each and present them in ONE BUSINESS SIZE envelope. Sorry- these are the only options available.😉 All tables provide ringside seating as the models will come to you! Tea room modeling in lieu of a runway provides up close and personal visibility of detail and design.

FACTOID #3

The 2020 raffle focuses on unique experiences vs.” stuff.” Consider- your own personal chartered plane spirits you over Enchanted Rock and off to Fredericksburg, or you can hone your skills with a private lesson from Saori weaver Kathy Utts in fascinating Wimberley. Perhaps you would prefer to indulge in a weekend escape in a B & B on the Guadalupe or thrill yourself and a friend with tickets to a SPURS game plus a cache of Spurs memorabilia. More fascinating opportunities will be announced at the  December FASA meeting when raffle tickets will go on sale. Individual raffle tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. Buying a raffle ticket is an investment in the future of a young artist or designer. It isn’t about the product- it’s about paying back (for those of us who have ever received a scholarship) or paying it forward- because we care about the future of art and art-making. We believe in the generosity and open-heartedness of FASA members & their friends and trust that this will be a banner year for raffle ticket sales.
