I made this piece to reflect the feelings of looking at and into a slot canyon. For the sunbaked stone walls, I painted Tyvek and appliquéd rusty red colored yarns to bring the textures found therein. The sound vibrations, the amazing solitude and the feeling of sanctuary all bring the impact of these amazing places right to our consciousness.
