Stenciled cotton using gesso and acrylic, Mexican embroidery, vintage brocade, hand-screened and died fabrics, Thai prayer flag, stamped and stenciled cotton, batting, thread. Art work is pieced, appliquéd (rouge with fusible) and free motion quilted with hand stitchery.
Hand-dyed and commercial cottons, felt batt, thread, paint, mounted on stretched canvas. Phototransfer, raw-edge applique, pleating, machine quilted. Poem on back by John Berryman explains “This Blue Chair.”
Joomchi — water and Korean mulberry paper, shut layers, wetting, folded and kneaded for 2-4 hours. Joomchi is a 5000 year old fiber technique. Needs to be hung away from wall with fishing line (I will provide installer if needed)
